A six-week introductory course on creative writing for veterans, first responders, and their spouses. This weekly class will help participants learn the fundamentals of creative writing and guide them through the writing process, from drafting to publication.

 

This series is taught by Travis Harman, a Doctoral Student at Wilkes University, where he obtained his MFA. He served for thirteen years in the U.S. Army. His publications for nonfiction include The Antonym, Line of Advance Literary Review, As You Were, So We All Say, Proud to Be: Volume 12 Anthology, In Parentheses Literary Magazine, and Hippocampus Magazine. Travis’s debut memoir, Remote Outpost, was published on June 30th, 2024. Travis was a finalist for the Annie Dillard Creative Nonfiction Award.

 

This is a six-week creative writing series open to adults 18+. Registering for one day within the series will not register you for all of them, so please sign up when you are available.
